Informal Tuition

The CMS provides an informal tuition session for those members who are a little rusty on their instrument or need some help with orchestra pieces. This will be provided by current members, some of which are Grade 8+ standard.

Private Tuition

For more focused and formal tuition the CMS recommends private tutors which will come at extra cost to the CMS membership fee.

Private Tutors the CMS recommends:

• Annika Dutson-Steinfeld  Flute, Clarinet and Saxophone (£6 for 30mins).

• Cat Wozniakowski  Flute for beginners up to grade 5.

• Steve Evans (Orchestra Conductor) Piano and Brass tuition.

• Matthew Dawkins (Ex-CMS member) Cello tuition

• Francis Yongblah (CMS President) Piano & Violin for beginners

Instrument Exams

Exams can be achieved through three national examination boards. These are:

·        Associated Board for the Royal Schools of Music www.abrsm.org

·        Trinity College www.trinitycollege.co.uk

·        Guildhall School of Music and Drama www.gsmd.ac.uk

The CMS recommends private tuition for those musicians wishing to take exams.
