The executive committeeIntroducing the committee: (THIS IS OKAY! For now, anyway. The pictures are actually us, but I need to ask the comittee members themselves if they want them updated. Until then, enjoy Ben's wistful gaze.)
The Lib Dem Society here is made up of an excellent mix of die-hard campaigners, Students' Union activists, keen learners
and
party animals, which makes for a great mix of campaigning and social life. |

| Society President: Ben Richards Leading the charge is Ben, the president of our society, and a second year History student. A fan of ale, and the subsequent drinking of it, he's the one who fashions the executive committee into something workable; an unenviable job. Still, he manages to drive the society from strength to strength, taking an active part in the social side of the university. |

| Local counciller: Mark Cory Having fought off contenders to his throne last year, Mark Cory remains the Liberal Democrat councillor for the university and the area around it. A great guy all-round, he graces the society with his presence now and again, enlisting our help to get votes to keep him on his well-deserved job. As well as fighting for students rights, Mark is also passionate about looking after the residents in Wivenhoe that he also represents, and has much success already in fighting for them. |

Social Secretary - Beth Gudgeon A more friendly person you could never meet! Beth is responsible for organising our social nights, be that a simple night in a bar, to film nights and debates. An English student (Breaking the near monopoly of humanities in the executive), she works hard to make sure that the society is, if nothing else, a fun and vibrant place to be! |

| Campaigns: Matthew "M'boy" Stewart The great occupier of stalls, It's Matt's job to make sure that the Lib Dem's get their agenda heard on campus, and to further the causes of things the party hold dear. A die-hard Social Liberal, and a second year politics student, he aims for campaigns that can help reduce the inequalities present in society, whether it be political, financial or discriminatory. When he's not getting on his soapbox, he's either geeking out, or going down to the pub; both if he can get away with it. He's also writing this website; the very words you're reading in fact. It feels strange. Any tips on web design? Contact him today! |

| Vice President: Dominic Hall (Working to find this E-mail.) A keenly intelligent individual, he helped forge the society into what it is today, and for that thanks must be given to him. A third year Economics student, he has had work published in the Mainstream media, a considerable feat; and all while looking ridiculously dashing, too. |
