- Tubular Hell by Matthew Engel. Financial Times Magazine, 21st October, 2007. The current Madrid Metro map has generated a lot of controversy ever since it was introduced.
- Harry Beck: The Paris Connection by Mark Ovenden. Creative Review, March, 2009. Why did the Parisians reject Henry Beck's diagammatic map? Because it was full of errors and twisted Paris sideways.
- Order on the Underground by Stefanie Schramm. Credit Suisse Bulletin, March, 2009. Discusses automated metro map generation, but also includes my thoughts about breaking rules. N.B. my quotes were translated into German, and back again!
- Smooth Operator by Jeff Wiseman. InMadrid, September, 2010. Discusses my alternative Madrid Metro map, very nice summary of my usability research methods.
- Putting Underground Art on the Cultural Map by Martin Newell. East Anglian Daily Times, 11th October, 2010. A review of my exhibition at the Minories Gallery, Colchester.
- Nicht einfach nur Linien by Adrian Froschauer Saarbrucker Zeitung, 23rd November, 2010. [In German] a discussion of my work and a review of my exhibition in Wadern, Germany.
