BRIEF BIO

I was born in Milan on 07/05/1977. I studied and worked in Italy for most of my time until October 2003, when I decided to move to UK.

I am a part-time teacher at the Department of Government, University of Essex, where I am also studying for a PhD. I hold a Bachelor degree in Political Science from the University of Milan, a Master degree in Comparative Democratization from Essex University and a Master degree in International Development from the University of Bologna

My research activities lie at the intersection of comparative politics and international relations, focusing mainly on the empirical implications of theoretical models. I am especially interested in research questions emerging from the field of democratization studies.

I combine this research agenda with a genuine interest in different aspects of LAtin American politics and society.
