The East Anglian Welsh Syntax Circle

Fersiwn Cymraeg

The East Anglian Welsh Syntax Circle was founded in Spring 2001 to take advantage of the fact that East Anglia has a surprisingly large number of linguists interested in Welsh Syntax. The main members are:

Bob Borsley (Essex)

Ian Roberts (Cambridge)

Louisa Sadler (Essex)

David Willis (Cambridge)

We meet from time to time in the Bell Inn in Castle Hedingham (about half way between Colchester and Cambridge) to discuss aspects of Welsh syntax.

In September 2003, we organized the Fourth Celtic Linguistics Conference at Selwyn College, University of Cambridge. Revised versions of a number of the papers have appeared in a special edition of Lingua.

Three of us were recently involved in the organization of the 5th Celtic Linguistics Conference at Plas Gregynog, Powys, Wales from 7th-9th September 2007.
