Fundraising efforts show success

The pub on Essex University’s Colchester campus held a night of resounding success with Quiz Master, Chris Newson and Men’s Captain, Martin Pendlebery supporting the night in their Lycra.

Veronika Vockova and Maria Gomez made food to set the night off with snacks gaining extra funds from donations. The Pub quiz saw well over 50 people attending. The pub quiz also included a raffle with the main prize building up to the end of the night of naming our top racing 4, the Janousek. Mr Idland from Norway won the prize putting in a massive £50 to the raffle.

The club’s next planned fund raising event is Matt v’s the world. Matt Fidler, this year’s Secretary and longstanding respected senior is competing against the girl’s squad to see who will complete the London Marathon first. Furthermore we are hoping to hold bag packing and 24 hour rows at the local supermarkets, Tesco’s, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose’s.
