Experience:
- During
the period of July’1991 to Dec’1993 he worked with Nuclear Power Corporation, a
government of India owned company where he first calibrated the SPND (Self
Powered Neutron Detector) based reactor regulating system. With an
analytical model he demonstrated the benefits of using the SPND devices in
controlling the nuclear reactors. Subsequently the SPND devices were
incorporated in reactor control System and are now used in commercial
nuclear reactors to generate electricity.
- In
Dec’1993 he joined as Assistant Divisional Engineer, Department of Telecommunication, Government
of India and he was promoted to Divisional Engineer in 1997 and Deputy
General Manager in 2000. He was responsible for planning, installation,
commissioning and maintenance of telecom equipments.
- After
completion of MSc in 2003-04 from Essex University,
UK he was given the
charge of first DSL Broadband Network deployment (0.5 million lines) for
the eastern part of India.
- He
was a member of a core national team for formulation and implementation of
tariff for Broadband network services.
- In
April’2006 he was given the charge of Mobile telecom services for three
north eastern states (Nagaland, Manipur and Arunanchal
Pradesh) of India.
- During
the period of April 2006 to January 2007 he was actively involved for
formulating the pricing strategy of different services both for the fixed
and mobile networks.
- During the period of
November 2007 to March 2009 he worked (concurrent with PhD) at British
Telecom research center and investigated to accounting congestion created
by users and their applications in the internet.
- During the period of Oct
2007 to September 2009 he worked as Graduate Teaching Assistant at
University of Essex, UK.
